IT Technician

Job Description

We currently have a time limited IT Technician position within the IT department to primarily support Fire & EMS customers. This position will:

1. Assist in supporting, maintaining and imaging end user hardware and devices.

2. Assist in supporting endpoint hardware, Computer Aided Dispatch hardware & automatic vehicle location hardware and vehicle gateways, as well as some ancillary support for reporting applications within various fire departments within the County

3. Troubleshooting and support of CradlePoint mobile gateways, tablet docking stations, and performing various other technology updates.

4. Work on replacing aging network printers.

5. Work with both Wake County staff and contracted vendors. Local travel to various County public safety facilities is required for this position.

Skills and Requirements

 Associates degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer

Engineering or related field.

 Two years of experience directly supporting end users and associated hardware.

 Equivalent education and experience are considered.
