Labor & Employment Associate (Attorney) - Hartford, CT or Stamford, CT

Overview We are working with an Am Law 200 firm, seeking a mid- to senior-level Labor and Employment Associate to join their Hartford or Stamford office. Responsibilities Provide multi-state employment counseling to business leaders; conduct employment diligence; advise on employment aspects of corporate transactions; defend employment cases, including investigating claims, taking and defending depositions, managing the discovery process, preparing and arguing motions (discovery, dispositive, and other motions) in state and federal court; represent clients in administrative proceedings; review, advise, and draft multi-state workplace policies, employee handbooks, and related materials. Manage multiple litigation and client projects efficiently and effectively; demonstrate an interest in building a labor and employment practice. Qualifications Minimum of three years of experience providing multi-state employment counseling to business leaders; graduation from law school and practice experience required. Connecticut Bar admission, or the ability to become admitted in Connecticut upon hire, is required.
