Part-Time Buyer / Purchasing Specialist

Job Type: Part-Time
Schedule: Mondays & Wednesdays, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Hours: Approximately 20 hours per week

About the Role

Fluid Filtration Manufacturing Corp. is seeking an experienced and organized Buyer / Purchasing Specialist to support our manufacturing operations. This part-time position will be responsible for planning and coordinating purchases to ensure materials, products, and supplies are available when needed while supporting efficient inventory and purchasing processes.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in purchasing, excellent organizational skills, and hands-on experience processing purchase orders.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement purchasing plans based on company supply needs.
• Monitor purchasing requirements and help ensure materials and supplies are available on schedule.
• Process and manage purchase orders accurately and efficiently.
• Coordinate purchasing activities with internal teams and suppliers.
• Track orders and follow up with vendors as needed to help prevent delays or shortages.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation.
• Help identify opportunities to improve purchasing efficiency and control costs.
• Support day-to-day purchasing needs for the manufacturing operation.

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of purchasing experience preferred.
• Hands-on experience with purchase order processing .
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
• Strong communication and vendor coordination skills.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.

Schedule

This is a part-time position averaging 20 hours per week .

Required availability:

• Monday: 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
• Wednesday: 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
