Job Description

We are seeking dedicated construction laborers to work in Lebanon, IN. The primary role involves installing fences and wattles to prevent erosion. This position requires manual driving of posts using a pneumatic post driver, attaching fences to steel T-posts, and ensuring fences are properly installed in trenches created by a silt fence plow. Laborers are responsible for maintaining the integrity of the fences and cleaning them with shovels as sediment accumulates. Heavy equipment operators will handle larger tasks, so laborers will not operate heavy machinery.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain fences and wattles to prevent erosion.
• Manually drive posts using a pneumatic post driver.
• Ensure proper installation of fences in trenches.
• Clean sediment from fences using shovels.
• Maintain a high level of communication and awareness on a busy construction site.

Essential Skills

• Experience in civil construction and general labor.
• Ability to bend, twist, stoop, and kneel.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs or more to head level.
• Proficiency in carrying T-posts and silt fence rolls.
• Comfortable working in outdoor conditions and various weather elements.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and ability to pass an MVR.
• Familiarity with storm water pollution protection plans (SWIP).

Work Environment

The construction site is located on open farmland in Lebanon, IN, and is subject to Indiana's varied weather conditions. Laborers will work primarily during the day shift from 7 AM to 6 PM, Monday through Sunday. The environment demands strict adherence to OSHA safety standards and requires a professional appearance and behavior in accordance with the site code of conduct.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lebanon, IN.

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $29.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Lebanon,IN.
