Location: Tampa, Sarasota, Naples FL Corridor (HQ in Sarasota)

Projected Pay Range: $120K–$150K base + upside (based upon project profitability) + benefits & other perks

The company provides a comprehensive suite of solutions including commercial construction and service, medical gas systems, BIM/VDC, GPR scanning, drafting, and Trimble layout services.

The business is investing heavily in professionalizing operations, modernizing processes, diversifying services, and scaling capacity to meet growing demand. Elevating the project management team is part of this critical transformation, and this individual will have the opportunity to shape how the company manages and delivers profitable projects for years to come. They are seeking strong, cross‑functional Project Managers located within the Tampa‑to‑Naples market.

Opportunity & Scope:

The Project Manager is a specialized and critical role suited for a career-minded professional who is future-thinking, ready to own the division's evolution, and transform the company from legacy methods to a high-efficiency, professionalized model.

The Project Manager will be responsible for the execution of a commercial plumbing construction and services project portfolio ranging from $8M to $20M in total value. This individual will typically oversee 4 to 10 concurrent projects, with a heavy emphasis on high-complexity sectors such as Medical Office Buildings (MOB), Central Equipment Plants (CEP), and educational facilities.

Beyond standard project execution, the Project Manager will serve as a critical "change agent" for the organization as they continue to scale and professionalize the business. The Project Manager will be tasked with implementing new purchasing and materials management processes, driving operational maturity, and elevating standards for scheduling, logistics, and resource optimization.

Partnering closely with Finance/Operations on cost-to-complete (CTC) accuracy and financial reporting; the PM owns field execution and forecast inputs, with structural support to ensure financial rigor doesn’t fall solely on one person.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Oversight : Maintain full ownership of a diverse project portfolio with average projects ranging from $1M–$4M. A level of comfort interfacing with diverse commercial customers within Southwest Florida (Tampa to Naples) is critical.
• Field Leadership : Optimize Union-based field teams and subcontractors, maintaining a rigorous field presence with bi-weekly site walks.
• Budget & Financial Management : Create and manage rigorous project budgets, including the identification, notification, and adoption of change orders.
• Operational Excellence : Operationalize new ordering, purchasing, and change order processes to elevate standards across the enterprise.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration : Interface regularly with Operations, Estimating, Sales, Service, HR, and Finance to ensure internal alignment.
• Customer Interface : Act as the primary point of contact with General Contractors and Owners, attending meetings, ensuring successful project outcomes, and driving customer satisfaction/ retention.
• Technical Integration : Leverage and optimize construction systems, technical tools, and automation to ensure precision, data integrity, and efficiency.

Mission Critical Objectives:

• Portfolio Management: Assume full ownership of a $8M–$20M book of business while overseeing 4-10 projects simultaneously, each ranging from $1-4M. Ensure successful project delivery within budget and schedule.
• Professionalization : Adhere to and champion new organizational standards, helping the team move away from non-specialized management styles. Integrate and leverage systems and tools to drive data integrity, efficiency, and quality. Demonstrate how a best-in-class Project Manager leads and optimizes the end-to-end project lifecycle.
• Resource Optimization: Share best practices, optimize resources (teams, processes, and systems), implement new labor management standards, and deliver excellent project outcomes .

Experience & Knowledge Requirements:

• Full Cycle Project Management Experience: Proven track record owning schedule, budget, and change order administration for multiple commercial trades projects ranging from $1M to $10M+, with direct accountability for project profitability outcomes.
• Commercial Trades Familiarity: Background in plumbing, mechanical, or related commercial trades. Candidates with a full-cycle, commercial, project management track record is essential.
• Labor/ Field Team Oversight : Experience overseeing and optimizing Union-based field labor and subcontractors in a performance-driven environment.
• Technical Savvy : Proficiency with project management, estimating, and similar tools such as Intacct, ProCore, Revit, FastPipe, Trimble, and/or AutoCAD. A strong understanding of how to leverage systems and data to tell a business story and improve project outcomes is critical.
• Project Financials: Experience budgeting, forecasting, and driving project profitability.
• Education: BA/BS degree is strongly preferred but not required; equivalent trade experience is accepted.
