MRI Technologist - Per Diem

Role Overview: MRI Technologists utilize radiofrequencies within magnetic fields for diagnostic, therapeutic, or research purposes. They perform MRI procedures, acquire and analyze data for diagnosis, and assist licensed practitioners. They prepare, administer, and document medications following legal and institutional policies. Key Responsibilities Obtain correct orders, identify patients, prepare for exams, and document clinical history confidentially. Use appropriate imaging protocols, optimize technical factors, and ensure patient safety following ALARA principles. Evaluate images for proper positioning, quality, and manage data storage and transfer. Educate and monitor students and healthcare providers, applying safety principles to minimize risks. Assist with MRI interventional procedures and perform MRI scans as prescribed. Select pulse sequences considering protocols and data acquisition factors. Participate in quality improvement activities and demonstrate proficiency in all duties. Qualifications & Skills Certification by ARRT (R or MR), ARMRIT, or NMTCB required upon hire. Graduate of Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology; Bachelor's degree preferred.
