Job Title: Bookkeeper – Small Business Services (Office of the CFO) Location: 100% Remote (Preference for candidates located in the DFW or Austin metro areas) Company Overview East 57th Street Partners’ Office of the CFO practice provides outsourced accounting, bookkeeping, and fractional finance leadership to small businesses. Our model supports business owners with high-quality financial oversight, ensuring clean books, accurate reporting, and peace of mind. Engagements typically range from 2 to 15 hours per month per client, allowing our team to provide targeted, high-value services while giving clients flexibility. Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to support our small business clients across a variety of industries. The ideal candidate will be an expert in QuickBooks Online (QBO), with experience handling full-cycle bookkeeping and delivering timely, accurate financial reporting. A CPA designation is preferred, though not required. This is a client-facing role requiring strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently while maintaining clear communication with clients and the E57 Office of the CFO team. Key Responsibilities Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for multiple small business clients Record and reconcile bank and credit card transactions Maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable ledgers Prepare journal entries (including depreciation, accruals, adjustments) Perform monthly reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data Generate and review monthly financial reports for clients Support client inquiries regarding accounting and bookkeeping issues Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies Collaborate with E57 CFO/Controller team members on escalations or special projects Qualifications Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, Accountant, or similar role supporting small businesses Expert-level QuickBooks Online experience required Strong understanding of accounting principles and month-end processes CPA designation preferred (but not required) Ability to manage multiple client engagements and deadlines efficiently Strong communication skills and client service mindset Experience working in a remote, independent environment Based in the DFW or Austin metro area preferred Compensation & Engagement Competitive hourly compensation commensurate with experience Opportunity to work with a growing portfolio of clients and expand into additional responsibilities within East 57th Street Partners Seniority Level Executive Employment Type Full-time Job Function Accounting/Auditing and Finance Industries Business Consulting and Services; Venture Capital and Private Equity Principals Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at East 57th Street Partners by 2x #J-18808-Ljbffr East 57th Street Partners
