About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: PCU Float Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: 1-2 years preferred License: Valid state or compact nursing license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: IV start, telemetry, PICC line management Description: This position is for a registered nurse in a PCU Float Pool on the night shift. Candidates with only 1-2 years of experience may be considered, but they will not receive automatic offers. All candidates’ profiles will be reviewed by the hiring manager. The role may require floating to various units or facilities as needed. No commute is necessary between hospital locations, as they are within walking distance. Nurses may be assigned to units with equivalent or lower levels of acuity. The estimated patient ratio is 1:3-4. Experience in telemetry and IV starts is required. Candidates must possess skills in various critical nursing procedures, including but not limited to: Arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, and blood product administration. Candidates should have the ability to interpret dysrhythmias and arterial blood gases. Nurses must be proficient with management of cardiac and vasoactive drips. The patient population includes adults and geriatrics with diverse diagnoses. The role requires active participation in interdisciplinary support activities. Nurses will provide care for step-down/PCU-type patients with varying needs. References from professional sources are required, with at least one from a supervisory role. Nurses must comply with all local credentialing and fingerprinting requirements.
