Work Environment This remote position operates within an outpatient office framework, offering a collaborative environment where Licensed Professional Counselors manage their schedules and meet clients on an appointment basis. Key Responsibilities Conduct initial assessments and comprehensive evaluations to identify client needs and formulate effective treatment plans. Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions to individuals, couples, families, and groups tailored to address a variety of mental health concerns. Utilize various therapeutic modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and solution-focused brief therapy, ensuring that they are aligned with the unique goals and preferences of each client. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers, to provide holistic care and ensure that all aspects of a client's well-being are addressed. Maintain thorough and accurate clinical documentation, adhering strictly to ethical standards and legal requirements that govern counseling practice. Engage in ongoing professional development by attending workshops and training to stay current with research and advancements in the mental health field. Patient Population / Client Focus Our counselors work with a diverse client base, including individuals facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, substance abuse, and relationship issues. Qualifications A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required. An active and unrestricted license as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of New Jersey is essential. A minimum of 2 years of professional experience providing counseling services, preferably in a clinical setting, is necessary for this role. Strong understanding of ethical guidelines and legal regulations pertinent to the practice of counseling. Excellent communication skills and the ability to establish trust and rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds. Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and other relevant healthcare software applications is essential for managing client information effectively. Preferred Experience Specialization in areas such as trauma, substance abuse, family therapy, or couples counseling is highly preferred. Previous experience working within a multidisciplinary team environment is advantageous. Compensation and Benefits We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $100,000 annually, reflective of experience and caseload.
