Position Overview

Porterville Movement Rehab & Wellness Center is seeking a dedicated and licensed Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our team in Jersey City, New Jersey. In this full-time position, you will play a critical role in helping our patients regain mobility and improve their quality of life through evidence-based practices and personalized care plans.

Work Environment

This full-time position is onsite, providing a dynamic and collaborative environment where you will work alongside two experienced physical therapists and a physical therapy assistant. Our facility is designed to optimize patient outcomes, featuring modern treatment spaces and equipment tailored for orthopedic rehabilitation.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patients to develop individualized care plans aligned with their rehabilitation goals.
• Manage a caseload effectively, typically seeing one patient per hour, ensuring high-quality care.
• Implement a diverse range of treatment techniques, including manual therapy and exercise regimens, to enhance mobility and functional capabilities.
• Document patient progress and treatment effectiveness thoroughly, maintaining up-to-date records in accordance with best practices.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including physical evaluations and history taking, to devise comprehensive care strategies.
• Monitor and assess treatment effects, making necessary adjustments to improve patient outcomes.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families about treatment plans and self-care strategies.
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure a cohesive treatment approach that meets the varying needs of our clients.
• Promote a culture of wellness by empowering patients to adopt improved lifestyles through tailored fitness and wellness programs.
• Motivate and encourage patients throughout their recovery journey to maximize their rehabilitation potential.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work primarily with patients recovering from orthopedic conditions, including post-operative rehabilitation, sports injuries, and chronic pain syndromes. Our practice focuses on restoring function and enhancing the quality of life for individuals of all ages. The team embraces a holistic approach, treating not just the symptoms but also addressing lifestyle factors that contribute to overall health.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey, with a clear record free from disciplinary actions.
• Understanding of evidence-based practice and a commitment to lifelong learning and professional development.
• Proficient use of electronic medical records (EMR) systems, preferably with experience in platforms like WebPT.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is strongly desired.
• Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques and the ability to create individualized exercise programs.
• Experience in collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers an attractive annual salary ranging from $100,000 to $120,000, commensurate with experience.
