Registered Nurse - Med Surg, Rome, New York, United States. Start date: 08/03/2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $2,096–$2,283 per week. Guaranteed hours: 36. Shift: 3x12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM–7:30 AM). Travel assignment in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to adults on Med Surg and Telemetry units within RN scope of practice, including assessment, planning, and evaluation of care.
- Monitor patients, administer medications and IV therapies, and manage cardiac medications as ordered; interpret telemetry and ECG strips; respond to changes in patient condition.
- Float to step-down unit as needed; collaborate with physicians, LPNs/LVNs, and other teammates to ensure safe, coordinated care.
- Perform wound care, manage lines and drains, maintain sterile technique, and follow infection prevention protocols.
- Document accurately and timely; educate patients and families on treatments, discharge planning, and self-care as appropriate.

Requirements
- Active New York RN license in good standing
- BLS and ACLS certifications; NIH Stroke Certification required before start
- Minimum 2 years of recent Med Surg/Telemetry nursing experience; travel experience preferred
- Strong IV skills; comfortable handling cardiac drips and reading ECG strips; ability to perform wound care
- Willingness to float to step-down; ability to work 3x12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM–7:30 AM)
- Additional 8 hours of CEUs required as part of facility orientation
- Flu vaccine or declination accepted
