Human Resources Generalist (Confidential) | Manufacturing | Salem, OH About the Opportunity A leading North American manufacturer is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to support plant operations in Salem, OH. This is a confidential search for an HR professional who enjoys working directly with employees and leadership in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. What You’ll Do As the Human Resources Generalist , you will act as the primary HR partner on‑site, supporting both employees and leadership across multiple HR functions: Lead full‑cycle recruiting for hourly and plant roles Partner with supervisors to meet staffing needs quickly and effectively Manage onboarding, orientation, and new hire experience Employee Relations & Compliance Serve as the go‑to resource for employee concerns and workplace issues Support coaching, performance management, and corrective actions Conduct investigations and ensure proper documentation Maintain compliance with employment laws (I‑9, FMLA, ADA, EEO) Payroll & HR Operations Audit timecards and coordinate payroll processing Maintain accurate HR records and reporting Ensure confidentiality of all employee information Training & Engagement Coordinate training programs and compliance initiatives Support employee engagement and retention strategies Partner with leadership to strengthen workplace culture What You Bring 2+ years of HR experience (manufacturing or industrial environment preferred) Strong background in recruiting and employee relations Knowledge of HR compliance and employment law Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced setting Proficiency in Microsoft Office Why This Role Stands Out High‑impact, on‑site HR leadership role Direct influence on plant culture and employee experience Exposure to leadership and cross‑functional teams Stable and growing manufacturing environment Opportunities for long‑term career growth Split between office and production floor Active, hands‑on presence in plant operations Equal Opportunity Employer We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
