Payroll Specialist

Location: Tampa, FL - Hybrid: 3 days in office per week About the Opportunity A well-established organization is seeking a Senior Payroll Lead to join its growing payroll team. This role is ideal for someone who has experience supporting a large employee population, understands multi-state payroll taxes and regulations, and is comfortable working with detailed payroll data and advanced Excel. Key Responsibilities Process and support high-volume payroll for a large, multi-state workforce. Ensure payroll is processed accurately, timely, and in accordance with federal, state, and local requirements. Research and resolve multi-state payroll tax and compliance issues. Apply knowledge of varying state payroll laws and regulations, particularly in states with more complex requirements. Review payroll data, identify discrepancies, and assist with corrections and reconciliations. Use advanced Excel for payroll reporting, analysis, audits, reconciliations, and data validation. Utilize ADP Workforce Now to process and maintain payroll information. Help maintain accurate employee and payroll records and support ongoing process improvements. Stay current on changes to payroll tax laws and regulations that may impact payroll processing. Required Qualifications 3+ years of payroll experience in a corporate or high-volume environment. Strong hands-on knowledge of multi-state payroll taxes and payroll laws. Ability to work with different state-specific payroll requirements and regulations. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including the ability to analyze and reconcile large amounts of data. Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve payroll discrepancies. Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume payroll environment. Experience with ADP Workforce Now. Experience managing or supporting payroll involving multiple tax jurisdictions and/or tax IDs. #J-18808-Ljbffr
