Business Development Manager, Automation (SC region) Department: Automation Reports to: Vice President of Sales Region: Greenville, South Carolina Salary Range: $120-$140K Salary and Bonus Potential, based on experience Travel Requirement: Up to 60% Position Summary The Business Development Manager will drive and grow Magswitch Automation sales by building key customer relationships, identifying solutions during site visits, and expanding business across your territory. Use Salesforce Einstein, AI tools, and market insights to find opportunities and forecast demand. Travel up to 60%, primarily within a three-hour drive. Key Responsibilities Drive sales of Magswitch Automation products through forming high-level relationships. Identify, contact, and build rapport with major new customer targets by leveraging existing networks and referrals. Responsible for growing sales in the geographic territory. Identify multiple opportunities and solutions when visiting customers’ facilities, generating repeat business Strong knowledge and use of Salesforce Einstein to track and evaluate Sales and to generate Management Sales reports Embrace and leverage the use of AI to facilitate the sales process and generate sales leads Inform Operations of inventory requirements based on active sales opportunities and probabilities. Analyzing sales metrics to determine whether current sales strategies are effective. Conducting in-depth research on competitors' products, pricing, and market success to gain insight into customer preferences and interests. Analyzing Industry Trends to identify solution gaps and improve product lines Traveling up to 60% (predominantly within a 3-hour drive) Minimum Qualifications Ability to quickly absorb and understand technical information relating to Industrial automation and magnetic technology. Ability and confidence in selling solutions and value to the customer Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications as well as CRM and ERP software. (Salesforce and NetSuite preferred) Embraces the use of AI on a daily basis to increase knowledge, efficiency, and professionalism Exceptional presentation and oratory skills. Strong negotiation and consultative sales skills Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Outstanding organizational and leadership skills. Participating in leadership and management meetings
