Director of Business Development

CLAW Logistics, based in Sterling Heights, is seeking a Dedicated Business Development professional to grow our non-automotive business unit. This role is focused on hunting new business, long-term customer relationships, and developing tailored dedicated transportation solutions for mid-market and enterprise customers. This individual will play a key role in shaping Claw Logistics growth strategy in the dedicated space. Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Management, or related field of study; equivalent work experience accepted. 5+ years of logistics experience, with extensive non-automotive background. Strong understanding of logistics pricing, quoting, and contract negotiation. Self-starter who thrives in dynamic, entrepreneurial environment. Willingness to travel frequently between regional locations. Job Requirements: Prospect and develop new customers for dedicated fleet and contract logistics solutions Identify opportunities to transition brokerage customers into dedicated or committed capacity models Lead full sales cycle: prospecting, discovery, solution design, proposal, and closing Partner with operations and Director of Sales to design cost-effective, scalable dedicated solutions Lead and respond to RFPs/RFIs, building competitive and differentiated proposals Build strong relationships with decision-makers in key verticals such as automotive, manufacturing, and retail Maintain and actively manage a sales pipeline with a focus on closing high-value, long-term contracts Collaborate internally to ensure smooth onboarding and successful implementation of new accounts Track activity and manage pipeline through CRM (or internal tracking tools) Benefits: 401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Life insurance Vision insurance #J-18808-Ljbffr
