Accounting Coordinator

The Accounting Coordinator supports the accounting and finance team by processing transactions, maintaining financial records, assisting with month-end close activities, and providing administrative support for accounts payable, accounts receivable, and project accounting functions.

Responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices and employee expense reports.

• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.

• Prepare customer billings and track collections.

• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledger accounts.

• Maintain vendor and customer records.

• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.

• Support project accounting, job cost tracking, and reporting.

• Prepare journal entries and accounting schedules.

• Organize accounting documentation and ensure audit readiness.

• Respond to internal and external accounting inquiries.

Essential Skills

• 2+ years of operational accounting experience.

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

• Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables preferred).

• Experience with ERP/accounting systems.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.

• Journal Entry and General Ledger Posting experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in the construction industry is a plus.

• Knowledge of job costing.

• Familiarity with Viewpoint or Oracle ERP systems.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hillsboro, OR.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $38.46/hr.
