Tax Associate

Our client, a Real Estate Investment Firm based in New York City is seeking an experienced tax professional to join their team as a Tax Associate. This role will follow a hybrid schedule. Responsibilities Support federal, state, and local tax compliance and reporting activities across multiple legal entities and investment structures. Maintain tax calendars and compliance schedules, track tax payments and refunds, and assist with regulatory filings. Prepare account reconciliations and support schedules related to tax reporting and compliance requirements. Assist with quarterly and annual tax provision processes in accordance with applicable accounting standards. Analyze tax-related accounts, maintain rollforwards, and identify differences between financial reporting and tax reporting requirements. Support tax research projects and assist in the preparation of technical documentation related to transactions and business initiatives. Assist with various compliance testing, reporting, and tax planning initiatives. Coordinate responses to tax authority notices, audits, and information requests. Partner with internal teams and external advisors to support ongoing tax reporting and compliance efforts. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field. 2–4 years of relevant tax experience, preferably within public accounting, real estate, financial services, or a related industry. Experience with partnership, corporate, or investment-related tax matters preferred. Strong understanding of tax compliance, reporting, and accounting principles. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
