Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 14 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:00) Experience: Minimum of 1 year; first-time travelers accepted with charge experience License: State nursing license required Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: - Previous charge experience preferred - Experience with Epic charting system required Description: Minimum of 1 year experience in a medical surgical setting is required. First-time travelers are accepted, but charge experience is preferred. The patient population includes adults to geriatrics. The nurse will provide care to patients in a renal med-surg unit. The nurse-patient ratio is 1:5-6, with an average daily census of 48 patients. Staffing may include interdisciplinary teams such as IV teams, physical therapy, and respiratory services. The role includes responsibilities such as blood product administration, central line management, and pre/post-hemodialysis management. Additional skills required include telemonitoring, wound care, and the administration of oxygen and medications. Travelers should be prepared to work weekends and holidays as specified in the assignment guidelines. Compliance with onboarding and documentation requirements is mandatory for timely contract initiation. Candidates must complete all required items within the designated timeframe.
