About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: PCU Duration: 14 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year required. License: GA or Compact license required. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required. Must-Have: No block scheduling. Experience with Neuro/Stroke PCU floor, respiratory, cardiac, and mixed medical patients. Ability to titrate cardiac drips with continuous telemetry monitoring. Patient to nurse ratio is 1:4. Description: This position involves caring for patients ranging from adolescents to geriatrics. The unit has a total of 36 beds with an average daily census of 30 patients. As a nurse in this unit, you will manage various clinical tasks and be assigned PCU level patients. You will use Epic, Pyxis, and SBAR for charting and medication management. You will work with interdisciplinary teams, including therapy, radiology, and rapid response teams. The environment requires flexibility, as floating within the facility may be required as needed. You will need to comply with all onboarding requirements and complete core items/labs within the specified timeframe. The role may require working during major holidays, with expectations for holiday shifts outlined in the guidelines. All requests for time off must be finalized at the time of submission and cannot be adjusted post-offer.
