About the Position

Previous Charge Experience 2. Experience with Patient Ratios of 1:5 3. Charting System Experience with Epic Description: The registered nurse will provide care for adult to geriatric patients. The focus will be on post-myocardial infarction, heart failure, arrhythmias, chest pain, and peripheral vascular disease. Skills in telemetry, EKG, and Doppler are essential. Candidates must be able to manage cardiac and vasoactive drips without titration. The nurse will work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services. The daily patient census averages 16 on a telemetry unit with a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio. Nurses are expected to float within the facility as necessary, maintaining scope of practice. Compliance with all required documentation and training is mandatory for timely onboarding. The unit will require weekend coverage with six weekend shifts in a six-week scheduling period. If one major holiday falls within the assignment, the traveler is expected to work it. The position requires engagement in a fast-paced environment with an emphasis on patient care excellence. Flexibility and adaptability are important, as additional shifts may be required based on patient needs. Fulfilling all job expectations and attending to patient needs is critical for success in this role.
