As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a government services location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and assist visitors and staff with professionalism. You will document observations, communicate clearly, and respond to situations in alignment with site procedures. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $18.87 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeWed08:00 AM - 04:00 PMThur08:00 AM - 04:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and service providers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site personnel and emergency responders as directed. Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned areas, building entrances, common spaces, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions. Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures; verify authorization, maintain required logs, and report unauthorized access attempts or policy concerns. Document incidents, observations, patrols, and daily activities accurately and promptly in required reports and logs. Minimum Requirements: Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License. Have at least one year of security-related experience. Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
