Food Runner, Full Time

King Kamehameha Kona Beach Resort Courtyard by Marriott currently has an opening for a talented Full Time Food Runner to share the aloha spirit and strive to create a memorable guest experience. Brief summary of job: responsible for delivery of promptly setting and clearing tables, helping with table service and keeping the dining and public areas tidy.

Essential functions and responsibilities of the job include but are not limited to:

• Maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times, while providing personalized service to guests.
• Communicate effectively with guests and fellow team members.
• Distribution and delivery of guest's food orders out onto the service floor, serving them at their tables to the correct guest, and refilling water glasses.
• Promptly empty tables, clearing items away when guests have finished and ensure tables are ready to receive next arriving guests.
• Restock utensils and bus stations.
• Tidy dining and public areas, and complete side work to ready the station for next shift, enabling wait staff to deliver smooth, attentive guest service.
• Maintain cleanliness of bus stations, drains and ice bins.
• Provide assistance to other team members and departments to contribute to the best overall performance of the department, restaurant and hotel.
• Perform other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management.

Requirements: One (1) year experience preferred. High school or equivalent education. TB clearance card required.

Skills/abilities/other requirements: Must be able to communicate in English with guests, management and team members to their understanding. Ability to prioritize, organize and make good judgments. Dependable.
