Internal Auditor IThe Internal Auditor I performs audits for assigned areas of operations, including financial, operational, and compliance audits, in accordance with acceptable audit standards and within stipulated schedules and budgets. Our culture is built on shared values and mutual respect, where teamwork and collaboration occur naturally.Throughout our rich history, we have partnered with utilities, municipalities, commercial clients, and developers to deliver some of the largest and most complex projects, including new construction, upgrades, maintenance and repair for transmission, distribution and substation facilities, commercial and industrial electrical construction, emergency and storm restoration, clean energy, pre-construction services, and engineer-procure-construct (EPC) methods of project delivery.Essential FunctionsPerform audit engagements and review organizational and functional activities to ensure risks are appropriately identified, associated audit procedures are applied, and related controls are designed and operating to mitigate identified risksEnact thorough and practical knowledge of audit methodology techniquesLead discussions to obtain detailed understanding of business or functional area processes, systems, and applicationsAssist in the preparation of audit reportsPerform annual SOX 404 testing; validate and communicate process controls effectivityDevelop and maintain client relationshipsAssist in the audit review processServe colleagues and management in a professional and effective mannerPursue professional certifications and related educational requirementsOther duties as assignedRegular and predictable attendanceEssential functions of this position are to be performed at a Company-designated office or field locationUnderstand and comply with the Company's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics Policy and other industry-specific professional and ethical standardsQualifications•Minimum 1 year of experience in auditing, accounting, finance, risk, or business consulting role(s)•Construction experience is a plus •Accounting skills are a plus •Knowledge/experience with AI is a plusPreferred Education•Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting or business-related discipline•Working towards or planning on obtaining a CIA, CPA or other applicable certificationKnowledge/Skills/Abilities•Proficiency with Microsoft applications •Detail-oriented •Critical & Analytical skills - identify patterns, assess risks and uncover hidden issues •Strong oral, written, and communication skills - essential for presenting audit findings clearly & objectively •Relationship building skills - building rapport with internal and external stakeholders •Adaptability - must be able to focus on ever changing environments and continuous learningWhat We OfferCompensation & BenefitsSalary $64,000-$73,500/year Commensurate with experience, paid weekly. Posted salary ranges are made in good faith.
