Step into a dynamic role supporting K–12 students as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) serving schools across Hendry County. This rewarding contract opportunity places you at the heart of educational communities, partnering with dedicated professionals to help students thrive academically and socially.
As a COTA in this school-based setting, you will engage with a diverse student population while having the flexibility to work across multiple campuses. Your days will be fulfilling and varied as you make a meaningful impact in the lives of children and adolescents from elementary through high school.
What we’re looking for:
- Current, active Florida COTA license
- Previous experience working with schools strongly preferred
- Willingness and ability to travel to various sites throughout Hendry County (assignments provided over summer)
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Commitment to supporting student growth and participation in school activities
In this role, you will:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services under the supervision and guidance of OTs
- Support students’ access to curriculum by addressing fine motor, sensory, and adaptive skills
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families to develop and implement individualized strategies
- Assist with assessments, documentation, and progress monitoring
- Contribute insight and expertise to educational teams addressing student needs
- Travel between assigned schools as needed to ensure all students receive timely services
