Our partner is looking for a Director of Finance based in United States.This role serves as the senior financial leader at the hospital level, shaping long-term financial strategy, performance, and capital planning. You will oversee forecasting, budgeting, financial reporting, and risk analysis while translating complex data into actionable business recommendations. Working closely with clinical and operational executives, you will influence budget decisions, cost-containment initiatives, and performance improvement efforts. The position also leads complex cross-functional financial integration projects and supports standardized financial frameworks across community hospitals. With a high degree of autonomy, you will act as the key connection between hospital leadership and broader system finance functions. This is a strategic, analytical role suited to an experienced finance professional who can navigate complex healthcare environments and competing priorities. You will have direct visibility with senior leadership and meaningful influence over financial and operational decision-making.Accountabilities:Monitor long-range financial performance against strategic plans, identify systemic variances and trends, and translate findings into strategic recommendations for hospital and system leadership.Lead complex cross-functional financial integration initiatives, including service line restructures, margin improvement programs, and other major financial transformation efforts.Provide site-level financial analysis and recommendations for significant capital and business investment decisions.Execute performance frameworks, productivity models, and turnaround initiatives focused on labor resource management, cost discipline, and operational performance.Lead multi-year strategic financial and capital planning, including financial risk models, capital investment trade-offs, departmental budgets, and volume projections.Direct the monthly financial close process in partnership with accounting and finance analytics teams, ensuring accurate reporting and translating results into strategic business insights.Partner directly with clinical and operational executives to realign budgets, resolve complex financial issues, and establish actionable cost-containment plans.Establish financial reporting and labor productivity standards, helping department leaders interpret monthly results and document meaningful variance explanations.Serve as the senior financial representative on executive committees and cross-functional forums, preparing financial analyses and recommendations for leadership and broader organizational decision-making.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field, with 7–9 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Master's degree preferred.Experience with healthcare financial and operational systems such as EPIC, Infor, or Strata is preferred.Comprehensive knowledge of accounting, finance, and business administration, with working knowledge of reimbursement, managed care, budgeting, and financial reporting.Demonstrated experience developing operating and capital budgets, forecasts, revenue projections, expense plans, and volume projections.Working knowledge of financial systems and technology solutions, with the ability to identify opportunities for process and reporting improvements.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, including the capacity to evaluate complex financial issues and develop sound, timely recommendations.Strategic thinking skills and the ability to contribute to performance improvement initiatives and long-term financial planning.Strong verbal, written, organizational, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate financial information effectively to multidisciplinary stakeholders.Intermediate-to-advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.Ability to develop, interpret, coordinate, and communicate finance policies related to GAAP, cost and grant accounting, budgeting, financial systems, internal controls, and compliance.Comfortable operating independently, influencing senior stakeholders, and navigating complex financial discussions in a multidisciplinary environment.Benefits:Base salary range of $113,500–$164,500.Medical, dental, vision, and pharmacy benefits.Discretionary annual bonus opportunities and merit increases.Flexible Spending Accounts.403(b) savings plan with employer matching.Paid time off.Career advancement and professional development opportunities.Resources and programs supporting employee and family well-being.Strategic finance leadership role within a complex hospital environment.Opportunity to influence long-term financial planning, capital investment, performance improvement, and operational decision-making.Compensation may vary based on geographic location, education, experience, skills, certifications, organizational needs, internal equity, and market considerations.
