Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced and dedicated School Social Workers for a full-time opportunity with a school district in Flint, Michigan for the 2026-2027 school year.
Position Details
Location: Flint, MI
Assignment Dates: August 17, 2026 – June 11, 2027
Schedule: 35 hours per week
Setting: Onsite
Caseload: K-12 students
Student Population: Special Education
Responsibilities
Provide direct social work services and intervention support to students receiving special education services.
Facilitate individual and small-group counseling sessions.
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success.
Assist in the development and implementation of behavioral and social-emotional interventions.
Maintain accurate documentation and comply with district, state, and federal guidelines.
Qualifications
Candidates must meet all of the following requirements:
Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited college or university.
Fully Licensed Social Worker or MSW with a Limited License.
Hold one of the following Michigan school social work credentials:
Preliminary School Social Worker Certificate (PSSWC)
Professional School Social Worker Certificate (PSWC)
School Social Worker Permit (SSWP)
Active Michigan LARA License.
Ability and willingness to work onsite.
