Location: San Jose, CA
Salary: $120,000 to $140,000 annually
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team in San Jose. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing key accounting functions, including Accounts Receivable, Billing, Accounts Payable, month-end close, and account reconciliations.
The Accounting Manager will supervise a team of three and work closely with the Controller and other departments to ensure accurate and timely accounting processes, strengthen internal controls, and identify opportunities for process improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support the Accounts Receivable and Billing team.
- Oversee customer billing, collections, and Accounts Receivable.
- Provide oversight of Accounts Payable activities.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
- Prepare and review account reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and supporting schedules.
- Monitor AR aging and help improve collections and DSO.
- Serve as a key internal resource for NetSuite ERP.
- Support Rental Series accounting and billing processes.
- Develop and improve accounting procedures, workflows, and internal controls.
- Partner with Sales, Rental, Service, and Operations to resolve accounting and billing issues.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, audits, reporting, and special projects.
- Provide backup support to the Controller as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- At least 2 years of supervisory or management experience.
- Strong hands-on NetSuite experience.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, month-end close, reconciliations, AR, AP, and general ledger accounting.
- Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Preferred:
- Rental Series experience.
- Experience working with equipment sales, rental, or service operations.
- CPA or CMA designation.
