Role Overview

The Venture Investment Analyst plays a core role in evaluating potential venture investments and supporting the investment decision-making process. Analysts focus on startup assessment, market research, investment analysis, and portfolio monitoring , working closely with partners, senior investors, founders, and operators across the venture ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

• Source and evaluate potential venture investment opportunities across early-stage and growth companies

• Conduct initial outreach and introductory conversations with startup founders

• Support investment due diligence, including:

  • Market sizing and industry landscape analysis

  • Competitive positioning and differentiation assessment

  • Business model and unit economics review

  • Product, technology, and traction evaluation

  • Financial analysis and assumption validation

• Build and maintain financial models and investment scenarios for early-stage companies

• Assist in preparing investment memos, opportunity summaries, and internal presentations

• Contribute to market research, sector mapping, and investment thesis development

• Track portfolio company KPIs and support performance monitoring and reporting

• Assist with investment committee preparation, fundraising materials, and LP communications

• Monitor venture market trends, emerging technologies, and startup ecosystems

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business, engineering, data, or another analytical discipline

• Strong interest in venture investing, startups, and innovation-driven businesses

• Prior experience in investment banking, consulting, venture capital, private equity, startups, product management, or relevant internships is a plus

• Strong analytical, research, and financial modeling skills

• Clear written and verbal communication abilities

• High intellectual curiosity and comfort engaging with founders and investment professionals

• Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
