Merck seeks a Market Research Specialist to support U.S. and global commercial strategy by designing and executing primary market research, analyzing competitive insights, and translating findings into actionable business recommendations. The role partners with senior researchers and cross-functional teams to inform decision-making in the pharmaceutical industry.

Responsibilities

Frame business questions and develop research plans aligned with commercial strategy and objectives
Manage market research projects from design through execution and insight delivery with guidance
Apply qualitative, quantitative, and emerging research methodologies including AI-enabled tools
Synthesize primary and secondary data into clear, actionable business recommendations
Communicate insights to stakeholders and ensure compliance with privacy and ethical standards

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Healthcare, or related field
Up to 2 years of market research, analytics, marketing, or commercial experience
Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills with research methodology knowledge
Foundational understanding of pharmaceutical and healthcare markets
Ability to synthesize multiple data sources into business-focused recommendations
Excellent collaboration and stakeholder communication skills
Capacity to manage multiple projects and priorities in dynamic environments
