Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments to identify the mental health needs of cancer patients and develop tailored intervention plans.

• Deliver therapeutic counseling using evidence-based practices, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to help clients navigate the emotional challenges associated with diagnosis, treatment, and survivorship.

• Facilitate virtual support groups, offering a safe space for patients and families to connect, share experiences, and provide mutual support.

• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines, ensuring compliance with all applicable mental health regulations.

• Collaborate and communicate effectively with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate holistic care strategies for clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role focuses on patients navigating the complex emotional landscape of cancer treatment, including those facing initial diagnoses, treatment recovery, recurrence, and end-of-life transitions. Counselors will address clients’ mental health needs within the framework of oncology care, utilizing therapeutic techniques to empower patients and enhance coping strategies, ultimately improving their quality of life.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).

• Proof of eligibility to work in the U.S. and no history of medical malpractice claims verified by a third party.

• Strong ethical framework and commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical practice standards.

Compensation and Benefits\n
