The Cardiac Cath Lab, part of the Cardiovascular Procedure Center, uses cutting‑edge technology and has a 97 % success rate in acute interventional cases, with 100 % of STEMI patients receiving emergency percutaneous cardiac intervention within 90 minutes. Staff RNs are integral to patient care, administering conscious sedation and managing airway throughout procedures. Role Purpose Coordinates patient care, personnel management, equipment maintenance and statistical accumulation. Responsibilities Manage personnel including hiring, training, assigning work, evaluating performance, and developing professional development plans to meet departmental goals. Assist in development of departmental staffing, revenue and expense budgets, and ensure adherence to those goals. Provide and oversee patient care according to planned interventions, documenting per policy. Create and implement collaborative care plans based on assessment, diagnosis, and medical treatment. Review staff hours, approve payroll updates, reconcile time cards, and coordinate all staff communications. Determine staffing needs, make nursing assignments, assign overtime, and recommend effective annual increases. Interview staff for open positions, conduct performance reviews, issue corrective actions, and monitor disciplinary actions. Ensure staff productivity and overall operational goals as established by leadership. Maintain safety‑sensitive performance, remaining alert and safe at all times.
