Job Description

This role focuses on assembling and producing cable products by performing tasks such as stripping and crimping wires, reading and following work instructions, and using hand tools to complete detailed assembly work. You will work in a repetitive, process-driven environment where accuracy, consistency, and attention to detail are essential.

Responsibilities

• Assemble cable products according to detailed work instructions and established procedures.

• Strip wires to specified lengths using appropriate tools and techniques.

• Crimp wires using the correct crimping tools to ensure secure and reliable connections.

• Read and interpret work instructions to perform assembly tasks accurately and consistently.

• Perform general assembly tasks using hand tools and basic equipment.

• Handle repetitive tasks with care and maintain a steady work pace while meeting quality standards.

• Assist with soldering tasks as needed to support cable assembly processes.

• Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work area.

• Collaborate with team members and communicate any issues or defects identified during the assembly process.

Essential Skills

• Experience performing general assembly work, ideally in a manufacturing or production environment.

• Ability to strip wires accurately and efficiently.

• Ability to crimp wires using appropriate tools and methods.

• Ability to read and follow written work instructions with attention to detail.

• Comfort working with hand tools for assembly tasks.

• Capability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining quality and consistency.

• Basic understanding of soldering processes for assembly work.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience reading and interpreting blueprints is a plus.

• Experience using micrometers or similar measuring tools is a plus.

• Previous experience in cable assembly or related production environments is beneficial.

• Strong manual dexterity and fine motor skills.

• Ability to work effectively as part of a production team.

Expect a production-floor setting with typical industrial noise and activity, where safety procedures and proper use of tools and equipment are essential.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of TORRANCE, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.50 - $21.00/hr.
