Title
Registered Nurse - PCU / Float Pool

Schedule
- Weekend requirement: 8 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule (combination of Fri/Sat/Sun)

Assignment Details
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: 3 shifts per 13 weeks

Requirements
- License: Missouri or Compact RN license; travelers may need both Kansas and Missouri (or compact) at submission
- Certifications: BLS, NIHSS; ACLS preferred
- Experience: 1-2 years RN experience required; previous charge experience and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
- Core clinical skills:
- Cardiac monitoring/telemetry: dysrhythmia interpretation & management, post-MI and pre/post cardiac cath care
- IV/vascular care: IV starts, peripheral lines, PICC, central line care, port access, blood product administration
- Emergency response: Rapid Response/Code team participation
- Respiratory: HFNC, CPAP/BiPAP, tracheostomy care, ABG interpretation, chest tube management
- Renal/endocrine: Pre/post hemodialysis care, continuous bladder irrigation, IV insulin protocols
- General: Feeding tube care, wound care/Wound VAC, surgical drains, PCA management

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to adults with varied diagnoses
- Monitor vital signs and patient status, adjusting care as necessary
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Participate in patient education and discharge planning

Compliance / Notes
- Orientation: 16 hours
- Pre-approved time off: Two (per contract)
- COVID-19 vaccine NOT required; Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions allowed)
- Documentation deadline: All docs due 2 Fridays before start date
- Pre-start modules: 10-15 hours total; due by Monday 1 week prior to start (includes non-billable EMR modules)
- Labs must be completed within 48-72 hours of signing
- EPIC training module must be completed first; infusion pump and glucometer training must be finished by the Sunday prior to start
