Payroll Specialist

Payroll SpecialistThis position represents LAUNCH internally and externally in a positive and professional manner. This position is primarily responsible for processing payroll on a weekly basis. The Payroll Specialist will have daily communication and coordinate with Corporate (Oak Brook, IL) staff as well as various client locations.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesPerform daily payroll department operationsConsistently, accurately process payroll for up to 1500+ employeesCollect timecards from employees at multiple different locationsSave all timecards on the shared drive for referenceSolve issues and answer questions related to payroll, answer inquiries, and enforce company policiesComplete all employment verification and unemployment claim requests on timeManage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timelyProcess correct garnishment calculations and complianceOrganize and maintain all record keeping including scanning of all data and proper filing within department filesProvide customer service to all employees, outside customers, and vendorsOther duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills And AbilitiesSelf-starter who can drive accomplishments, with strong organizational skillsTrustworthy, with attention to confidentialityWorking knowledge of payroll best practicesAble to work both independently and in a groupHigh energy and an ability to thrive in a fast-paced, competitive and dynamic environmentStrong influencing and reasoning skillsExcellent interpersonal skills, both verbal and writtenExcellent spelling and grammar skillsMeticulous approach to work with an eye for detailAbility to maintain high-quality work and meet strict deadlinesStrong technical skills; proficiency in Microsoft® Word, Excel and PowerPointAbility to adhere to LAUNCH's Mission and ValuesMinimum Education / Experience / QualificationsMust be 21 years of age2-5 years in a payroll related positionPrevious experience in an office setting preferredADP Experience is a plusAssociates degree required, Bachelor's degree preferredOn top of competitive compensation, if you join our team, you'll receive the following benefits:Paid holidays, vacation, sick, and parental leave401(k) company matchEmployee assistance program (EAP)Medical, dental, and vision insuranceLife insurance, long term and short-term disability and other ancillary plansMonthly lunch on LAUNCHAnniversary bonus program
