Travel Registered Nurse ICU Job

Overview
Registered Nurse ICU travel assignment in Clearlake, California for a 13-week temporary role beginning 10/05/2026. Shift is 3x12-hour days (6:00 AM–6:30 PM). Works in a critical access hospital ICU setting with guaranteed 36 hours per week. This position requires active California RN licensure, ACLS and BLS, PALS within six months of hire, and ICU experience or approved ICU training.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to ICU patients, coordinating and delivering care across the adult patient population served on the unit
- Monitor patient status, interpret data, and respond to changes in clinical condition
- Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies according to physician orders and hospital protocols
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the electronic medical record
- Maintain patient safety, infection control, and quality-of-care standards; educate patients and families as appropriate

Requirements
- Current California RN license
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- ACLS certification
- PALS certification within six months of hire
- Minimum two years of ICU experience or completion of an approved ICU training course
- EPIC electronic medical record experience required
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Basic computer skills and ability to work in a fast-paced ICU environment
