Business Lead Analyst - Vice President

The Business Lead Analyst is a strategic professional who stays abreast of developments within their field and contributes to directional strategy by considering their application in their job and the business. Recognized as a technical authority for an area within the business, this role requires basic commercial awareness. The Business Lead Analyst develops communication and diplomacy skills to guide, influence, and convince others, including colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. They have a significant impact on the area through complex deliverables and provide advice and counsel related to the technology or operations of the business. Work impacts an entire area and ultimately affects the overall performance and effectiveness of the sub‑function or job family. Responsibilities Gathering and documenting business requirements Developing individual project artifacts such as Business Requirements Documentation (BRDs), Functional Requirements Documentation (FRDs), test planning and scenario documents for User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and project plans for all key technical deliveries Day‑to‑day management of individual project responsibilities including milestone setting, task and action management, coordination and execution of plans within required timelines and stakeholder quality expectations Providing implementation and post‑implementation project support Fostering and maintaining relationships with business stakeholders, support, testing and development team members Identifying key project risks and managing resolution or escalation accordingly Operating with limited direct supervision and exercising independent judgment and autonomy Acting as SME to senior stakeholders and/or other team members Appropriately assessing risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding Citi, its clients and assets by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency Recommended Qualifications 6‑10 years of experience Extremely organized, motivated and self‑starter Strong prioritization skills and ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously Ability to work well under pressure while remaining enthusiastic, hard‑working and positive Desire to improve processes Advanced working knowledge in the Equities IT space and exposure to Cash Prime Brokerage flows Track record as a Business Analyst within the Financial Services/Investment Banking industry Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to facilitate discussions Ability to quickly grasp and understand new concepts/requirements and related product/functional knowledge Experience working with Agile Methodologies and Tools Team player with strong relationship management skills Ability to work under pressure and manage tight deadlines Ability to learn/understand technical implications of system design Willingness to ask questions, challenge the process and seek out answers Ability to work independently, prioritize and take ownership of various parts of a project or initiative Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills Knowledge of the SDLC Education Bachelor’s/University degree (Master’s degree preferred) Work Environment Office setting, minimal travel required. Job level salary range: $142,320.00 – $213,480.00.
