Job Title and Location Registered Nurse (RN), 12.5‑Hour Shift (Evening 6P‑7A), Burn Care ICU, Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center, Livingston, NJ Pay Range: $47.85 – $60.60 per hour. Job Overview The Burn Center at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center is the only state‑certified burn treatment facility in New Jersey and one of the largest in North America. With 12 intensive care beds and an 18‑bed step‑down unit, the Burn Center provides expert care for patients of all ages. We are seeking a compassionate, intensive care Registered Nurse to care for our patients in their time of need. Qualifications Graduate from an accredited nursing school. Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing or currently matriculating. Requirements Minimum 2 years of critical care/intensive care experience as a Registered Nurse. Current and active New Jersey RN licensure. Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, APLS, or ENPC courses required; BLS upon hire, PALS/APLS/ENPC within one year of start date. IV certification from an approved facility or complete within 90 days of hire. Complete all orientation requirements of Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center. Certifications and Licenses Required American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification. Active New Jersey Registered Nurse License. Scheduling Requirements Evening Shift, 12.5‑hour shift 6P‑7A. 37.5 hours weekly. Required to work every other weekend and holiday rotations. Essential Functions Provide nursing care within the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards. Ensure safety in practice and uphold ethical standards as defined by the ANA code of ethics. Report identified safety issues such as hazardous environments and medical errors. Maintain knowledge of the patient population served. Supervise and direct delegation of tasks to appropriate team members and collaborate with other patient care providers. Consistently set and evaluate priorities through appropriate interventions with measurable outcomes toward improvement. Participate in patient teaching and discharge planning; engage in unit performance improvement activities. Utilize the nursing process to integrate all aspects of care and individualize the plan of care for each patient.
