Sous Chef

THE LINKS AT SUMMERLY / BLACKBURN LOUNGE & GRILL ON THE LINKS is hiring Role summary The Sous Chef will Support the executive chef in daily kitchen leadership, food quality, training and efficient service. Key responsibilities Lead kitchen shifts and coordinate prep, line staffing and service execution. Maintain recipe, portion, presentation and food safety standards across stations. Train and coach cooks and help resolve performance or service issues. Assist with ordering, receiving, inventory, waste control and production planning. Communicate maintenance, staffing and menu needs to the executive chef. Qualifications and availability Prior kitchen leadership experience in a full service restaurant preferred. Strong cooking, coaching, ordering and service management skills. Able to lead varying shifts, including evenings and weekends. Hold or obtain required food protection manager certification for assigned responsibilities. Work setting Restaurant shifts involve standing, moving between stations and working with guests or coworkers in a busy service environment. Specific schedules and essential physical duties should be confirmed for each posting.
