Vice President, Market Access Consulting

The VP, Market Access Consulting will be responsible for the growth and development of consultative services supporting life sciences clients as a key leader of the consulting team within Precision AQ. Additionally, the VP, will create new business, cultivate key client relationships, and identify opportunities to enhance and grow current business.The individual is required to have a deep expertise and experience in market access and reimbursement. This position demands advanced understanding of Medicare access and payment dynamics, and a strong grasp of the end‑to‑end drug development and commercialization lifecycleThe VP, Market Access Consulting will report to the SVP, Managing Director of US Access Strategy & Analytics.Essential functions of the job include but are not limited to:Deliver on market access engagements focused on solutions across the access continuum – from payer, to provider, to patientAchieve revenue and sales goals through direct client engagement and support project leads in client management, project delivery and sales activitiesProvide leadership and direction as part of core leadership consulting team delivering high quality consulting services to biopharmaceutical industry clientsSupport hiring, staffing, people development, and culture buildCollaborate across multiple business units on business strategy and executionBuild new business opportunities and maintain long-term partnerships with clients, pro-actively identifying and proposing technical and strategic solutions.Coach, mentor, and develop staff including overseeing new employee onboarding and providing career development planning and opportunities.Qualifications:A bachelor’s degree in science, Economics, Business or a related field is preferred; a master’s or PhD degree in Science, Economics, Business or a related field is an advantage10+ years of consulting or related commercialization strategy experience, the majority in health policy, or reimbursement strategy, with a focus on physician-administered medicineProven track record in revenue generation and business developmentStrong understanding of CMS regulations, coding, and payment methodologies and physician reimbursement dynamicsCommunication - Excellent communication skills including strong strategic and technical writing skills.Leadership - Responsible for outcomes and guiding team in decision making. Clear and consistent in direction and is a role model for the rest of the team in terms of work ethic and dependability.Team Development and Mentoring - Work with direct reports on areas in need of improvement as well as teach them to leverage inherent assets. Deliver constructive feedback, early/often and at 1:1.Client Relationship - Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills, and an ability to build credibility with external and internal stakeholders.Process Development and Enforcement - Streamline the team’s resources and communications and work to find ways to remove day-to-day barriers and burdens from his/her team.Business Development - Dive enthusiastically into new business opportunities and bring ideas and new thinking to the table to secure wins.Strategic Consultation - Understand Market Access Consulting’s strategic direction. At Precision, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
