This position involves caring for patients in a 36-bed ICU that encompasses Neuro, Cardiac, and Medical-Surgical units. Key Responsibilities Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients. Utilize EPIC charting for efficient documentation and patient management. Monitor patient progress and respond promptly to changes in condition. Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Adhere to established protocols and best practices in patient care. Qualifications Current IL nursing license. Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications. NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification. A minimum of 2 years of strong ICU experience. Experience with EPIC charting is required. Work Schedule This position requires availability for 12-hour night shifts from 6 PM to 6 AM, with potential floating to other areas and weekend coverage as needed. Patient Care Experience The nurse-to-patient ratio is typically 1:2 or may be adjusted to 2-3 depending on patient acuity. Orientation and Credentialing Orientation is conducted every other Wednesday and Thursday, with credentialing requirements due the Thursday prior to the start date.
