Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Level I Trauma ICU position requiring prior travel experience and Epic charting proficiency.

Details

• Work in the ICU of a Level I Trauma hospital
• Unit has 14 rooms and 16 beds
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours (7:00 AM to 7:00 PM)
• Floating required to ICU, IMC, and Tele units as needed
• Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

• Active TX or Compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Preferred certifications: PALS, TNCC
• Level I Trauma experience preferred
• Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Experience with ventilator management, BiPAP/CPAP, central line care, IV therapy, blood product administration, and cardiac dysrhythmia management required
• ICP monitoring experience preferred

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing services to trauma ICU patients including ventilator management and cardiac monitoring
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not accepted
• Candidates residing in Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, or Morris counties are not accepted
• Former staff must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
• No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved and no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation
• Travel pairs or groups are not accepted for this position
