About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: State or Compact license required Certifications: BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Travel experience preferred - Experience with charting in Epic - Previous charge experience Description: General Neuro Unit. Shift consists of 3 twelve-hour days. Unit serves a patient population ranging from young adults to geriatric patients. Priority admission is given to patients requiring medical surgical level monitoring and care. Major types of patients include both medical and surgical patients, as well as those with neurology or neurosurgical diagnoses. Unit is equipped with telemetry and oximetry monitoring. Patient ratios are maintained at 1:6. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary. Daily census averages 20 patients. Unit consists of 19 private rooms with a total of 20 beds.
