Location: Wilmington, North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM; 36 or 48-hour contracts available; every other weekend required; floating as needed

Highlights:

• Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit caring for adult and geriatric populations with 41-bed capacity
• Patient ratio of 1:5-6 with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy
• Epic EMR system with Pyxis medication dispensing and SBAR communication protocols
• Contract extensions available through February 27, 2026
• 24-hour orientation with week one hospital orientation classes
• First-time travelers welcome with 2 years of RN experience

Requirements:

• Active RN license (North Carolina or Compact state license accepted)
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start date
• Proficiency in blood product administration, heparin protocols, IV insulin protocols, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, isolation precautions, PCA, peripheral line management, insulin drip titration, wound care/wound vac, and non-invasive airway management
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Willingness to float as needed within the facility
• Availability to participate in Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team assignments and respond during catastrophic events or disasters
