Manufacturing Accounting Manager | Finance & Operations

Direct Hire | $85,000 to $125,000 Based on Experience

A strong and rapidly growing manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to take ownership of the company accounting and financial operations. This is a key position for an accounting professional with a strong manufacturing background who can manage the daily accounting function while providing financial reporting, analysis, and financial oversight to company leadership.

This role is ideal for someone with a strong accounting foundation and manufacturing experience who enjoys being hands on, working independently, and taking ownership of the financial function within a growing organization.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting and financial operations within a manufacturing environment
• Maintain accurate and complete financial records using QuickBooks
• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Manage general ledger activity, account reconciliations, and month end close
• Manage and reconcile inventory related accounting activity
• Monitor COGS and manufacturing related costs
• Support inventory valuation and ensure accurate inventory reporting
• Review manufacturing costs, margins, and related financial activity
• Prepare and review financial statements and management reports
• Monitor cash flow and provide visibility into the company financial position
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
• Ensure financial records are accurate, organized, and current
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and reporting
• Work closely with company leadership and operations to provide meaningful financial information that supports business decisions
• Take ownership of accounting and financial processes as the company continues to grow

Required Qualifications

• Strong accounting background with experience in a manufacturing environment ( Required) 
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
• Experience with manufacturing accounting, including inventory and COGS
• Experience with inventory reconciliations and financial reporting related to manufacturing operations
• Understanding of manufacturing costs, including materials, labor, and overhead
• Experience preparing and reviewing financial statements and management reports
• Proficiency with QuickBooks 
• Experience managing a broad range of accounting and financial responsibilities
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently, prioritize responsibilities, and take ownership of the accounting function
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with company leadership and operations
• Experience working within a growing manufacturing company environment
