Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provides professional nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures in the operating room setting. Ensures patient safety, comfort, and optimal outcomes through comprehensive assessment and interventions during peri-operative care.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' medical history, vital signs, and current condition prior to surgery.
• Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans tailored to surgical patients.
• Assist in the preparation and sterilization of surgical instruments and environments.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to coordinate patient activity throughout peri-operative phases.
• Monitor patient status during procedures, responding promptly to any changes.
• Educate patients and families on surgical processes, post-operative care, and recovery expectations.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid and active Registered Nurse license.
• Demonstrate experience in operating room nursing, with proficiency in ortho, general surgery, GYN, or endoscopy.
• Possess at least 1-2 years of peri-operative nursing experience.
• Maintain BLS and ACLS certification.
• Exhibit strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills.
