Overview
Established transactional real estate law firm in Elmhurst, Illinois, with a 34-year reputation, seeks to hire an Associate Attorney.
Our firm handles residential and commercial real estate transactions, as well as new construction closings. As an associate, you will have direct and frequent personal contact with realtors, clients, and other attorneys.
Responsibilities
- Review real estate contracts
- Prepare and negotiate contract modifications during the attorney review period
- Negotiate and resolve inspection issues
- Review title commitments and surveys
- Attend real estate closings, including reviewing closing and financial documents
- Resolve post-closing matters, including escrows for unfinished issues and tax re-prorations
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active Illinois law license
- Strong communication, organizational, and negotiation skills
- Ability to manage multiple transactions in a fast-paced environment
- Real estate law experience preferred but not required — we're willing to train the right candidate
