About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join its mission-driven executive team. The CFO will be a strategic partner, providing vision, leadership, and oversight of the organization's financial operations, systems, and reporting. This pivotal role involves leading a large team across various departments and ensuring the financial infrastructure is robust enough to support the organization's growth and impact. Key responsibilities include strategic financial leadership, mentoring and developing staff, overseeing all financial functions, and driving continuous improvement of financial systems and processes. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a CPA and/or MBA strongly preferred, and a minimum of 15 years of progressive financial leadership experience, particularly within a nonprofit or mission-driven organization. Applicants for the CFO position at the company must have a proven track record in leading and developing high-performing teams, as well as strong experience in financial management and reporting. The role requires exceptional analytical, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial information effectively to non-financial audiences. The CFO will also be responsible for championing a strong internal control and risk management environment and must demonstrate unquestionable integrity, sound judgment, and a genuine passion for the organization's mission. The successful candidate will be a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, directly supporting the President, CEO, and Board of Directors in advancing the organization's vision and growth goals.
