What You’ll Do As a Mill Operator , you’ll play a key role in operating and maintaining flour mill production processes while supporting food safety, product quality, and operational excellence. Your responsibilities will include: Coordinating flour transfers according to quality standards and customer specifications. Performing quality analyses, food safety checks, sampling, and testing of wheat and water. Assisting the Head Miller/Shift Miller with daily mill operations, process adjustments, and mill changes. Performing routine maintenance and assisting with equipment repairs. Maintaining a clean, safe, and audit-ready work environment through sanitation and SOP compliance. Monitoring and adjusting wheat cleaning and tempering processes to meet production specifications. Assisting in the training of Mill Utility personnel. Performing the duties of the Head Miller/Shift Miller during their absence. Following all GMP, OSHA, HACCP, GFSI, FSMA, and company food safety and safety requirements. What We’re Looking For High School Diploma or equivalent required. 1-3 years of flour milling, food production, or manufacturing experience preferred. Ability to pass a Respirator Fit Test and perform work while wearing a respirator. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Understanding of process flow and manufacturing operations. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external customers. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, internet applications, and other computer software.
