Desktop Support Technician

Responsibilities Manage desktop device incidents related to hardware, software, and connectivity through to resolution. Provide IMAC and desk-side support services. Support hard and soft break‑fix services for laptops and desktops. Provide support and maintenance for approved hardware, operating systems, and standard office applications throughout the desktop device lifecycle. Support, manage, optimize, and maintain desktop configurations, including patch updates and hardware replacements using vendor‑provided spares. Analyze Service Desk calls and desktop incident data to identify potential user training needs and automation opportunities. Ensure each desktop device is installed with the appropriate desktop image. Monitor security profiles and antivirus software on desktop devices and take appropriate action for any non‑compliance. Provide VIP desk‑side support as required and act as the on‑site point of contact for IT‑related issues when other IT support teams are unavailable. Requirements Knowledge and experience with Windows 7 OS. Knowledge of Active Directory and smart hands/feet support is preferred. Experience supporting Mac devices and tablets is a plus. Experience with service management tools such as ServiceNow. Strong expertise with EUC tools, remote support tools, Microsoft Office, and Outlook. Understanding of Lync, VPN, and mobile device support is preferred. Awareness of ITIL processes, including Incident, Change, Problem, and Service Request Management, as well as spare and buffer stock management. Associate degree or equivalent from a three‑year college or technical school with an emphasis in electronics is required; a bachelor’s degree is preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr Service Global, Inc.
