About the Role

The Company is in search of a Vice President, Fund Accounting to take on a pivotal leadership role within its Fund Accounting team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the fund accounting function, including managing a team of Analysts and Associates in the review and reconciliation of the firm's funds' books and records. This role involves leading the monthly and quarterly close process, supervising NAV and partner capital reporting, and managing relationships with fund administrators. The Vice President will also be instrumental in supporting various internal, regulatory, and investor reporting initiatives, and ensuring the accuracy and completeness of all financial documentation. Applicants for the Vice President, Fund Accounting position at the company should have 6-10 years' of relevant accounting experience, with a strong preference for those who have worked in financial services, particularly in asset management or alternative investments. A Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field is preferred, and a CPA designation is also a plus. The role requires a candidate who can provide day-to-day leadership, mentorship, and oversight of the fund accounting team, as well as partner cross-functionally with internal teams and external service providers to ensure efficient fund operations and reporting. Key qualifications include the ability to manage the close process, review various financial calculations and statements, and oversee compliance-related reporting. The ideal candidate will be adept at handling ad hoc reporting requests and participating in special projects, and will be a proactive and strategic leader in the fund accounting space.
